The AQWA PARK is located directly opposite the Astoria Hall and is situated around the large lake in the AQWA PARK grounds. The 100 square meter grounds and Lake stage is the ideal venue for open-air concerts, not only because of its beautiful surroundings, but also because of its great acoustics.
The Bands
Five musicians have dedicated themselves to a common great love:
rock'n'roll and rockabilly. But rockabilly has very different flavours and each of the TRAIN YARD KINGS has brought in their own personal preferences, resulting in a unique mix:
classic 50s tracks, neo-rockabilly, jive, jump blues, revival, to doo-wop to swing to country influences - (there's a lot to discover from Louis Jordan, Drifters, Lee Rocker, Brian Setzer, Billy Lee Riley to Chris Isaak and old master Elvis) - the TRAIN YARD KINGS have not committed themselves. There is also no typical frontman - everyone takes on the lead vocals, which always brings variety and provides surprises.
You can hear (and see) from the very first bars that the TRAIN YARD KINGS' repertoire was created out of a love of music. The songs are not simply covered, but interpreted with sensitivity and fun. The musicians' joy of playing is captivating and leaves no foot standing still, because this music is made for dancing.
Ain't No Stoppin'
As part of our Weekender, the Tri-Gantics will be playing at the AQWA Bäderpark on Whit Monday.
The power trio will be bringing their rockin' blues and rock'n'roll sound straight from the beautiful border triangle on Lake Constance to the lakeside stage in Walldorf.
On this occasion, Alex, Martin and Bende also presented their new and eagerly awaited longplayer.
