Spreading ‘Twang’ since 2014
Old road cruisers and rock'n'roll simply belong together. That's why our Rust'n'Chrome is an absolute highlight at the Walldorf Weekender.
Once again this year, the Rust'n'Chrome will take place on Whit Monday on the grounds right next to the Astoria Hall and the AQWA Bäderpark.
As a musical treat, the Don Diego Trio from Italy will provide the perfect sound for this special motoring event with their hard-hitting mix of classic rockabilly and early 60s highway trucker twang a la Junior Brown.
Ain't No Stoppin'
As part of our Weekender, the Tri-Gantics will be playing at the AQWA Bäderpark on Whit Monday.
The power trio will be bringing their rockin' blues and rock'n'roll sound straight from the beautiful border triangle on Lake Constance to the lakeside stage in Walldorf.
On this occasion, Alex, Martin and Bende also presented their new and eagerly awaited longplayer.
If we had to define Mario Cobo, we could say that he is a man attached to a guitar.
Since his first concert in 1993, his career has been closely tied to American roots music. Rockabilly, Blues, Country, Swing, and more are his favorite styles to play, although he has worked with all kinds of artists, both as a guitarist and a producer.
His personal projects, such as Nu Niles, Lazy Jumpers, Los Mambo Jambo, and others, have taken him to perform all over Europe and North America. He was also a member of Kim Lenz’s band for several years and worked with Loquillo, a Spanish Rock and Roll star, whom he helped achieve two number-one hits in Spain as a producer. Mario Cobo returns to Walldorf after many years to offer two solo guitar shows, where he will give free rein to his own compositions and his six-string heroes. From Chet Atkins to Jimmy Bryant, from Eddie Lang and Django Reinhardt to Roy Clark and Scotty Moore. Returning to the Walldorf Rock and Roll Weekender after a few years is something he is especially excited about.
The Boppin' Gang at the Walldorf Weekender
For over 40 years, Boppin' B have stood for rousing rockabilly and rock'n'roll! With groovy rhythms, crisp brass sections and a show full of humour and joy of playing, the boys bring every stage to the boil.
The logical consequence is a constantly fully booked diary. We are particularly pleased that the five men are finally back with us after many years.
Jump Blues & Jive Jamboree
Whit Monday in Walldorf always has a surprise in store for the grand finale. This year it's a Swing-Jive-Blues Jump Jamboree:
The eleven-piece Billy Bros. Swing Orchestra invites guest singers to join them on stage. A world premiere in this constellation. It will be unforgettable.
A Travel From Sam Cook To Little Richard:
Baby Face - Wonderful World - Tutti Frutti - A Change Is Gonna Come
Of course, we always need an absolute eye-catcher to round off the Weekender. In 2025 we present Les Greene, the ‘Ameripolitan Rockabilly Male of the year 2024’.
The young charismatic singer from Baltimore (now L.A.) is conquering the world's stages with his energetic mix of R&B, rock'n'roll and early soul, reminiscent of stars such as Little Richard and Sam Cooke.
At the end of our Weekender 2025, experience a rousing, sweat-inducing live performance by someone who was born for the stage and music. A unique voice that you are guaranteed not to forget.
